The Governor of Benishangul Gumuz Region, Mr. Ashadli Hassan, has arrived in Demazin City to discuss various regional issues with the Governor General of Blue Nile State of Sudan, who is a neighbor of the region.

When the head of state Ashadli Hassan and his cabinet members arrived in the city of Damazine in the Blue Nile state of Sudan, they were welcomed by the governor general of the state, Ahmed Al-Omda and the local community.

The Head of Government is discussing with the leaders of Blue Nile State on issues of strengthening peace, trade and people-to-people relations in the border areas.

Mr. Ashadli Hassan and General Ahmed Al-Omdan held a discussion based on the peace and development agreement they had in the past as a country and as a neighboring region in order to maintain peace in the common border areas and strengthen the multi-faceted relations of the people in the diplomatic relations between Sudan and Ethiopia.

It has been stated that Benishangul Gumuz region and Blue Nile region in the Republic of Sudan have been achieving better results by working together on peace and development issues that benefit the people of the two regions.

It is also stated that the people of the two regions are united in culture, language and various social issues and have family interactions.
